The Father - Tucker

Tucker, our F1 Labradoodle stud, is a wonderful dog. We have owned him since he was just a pup and he is a wonderful family pet first and foremost.
 
We bought him from a local friend, he was the pick of the litter and they had planned on keeping him. At the last minute they changed their minds and we got our Tuck Puppy! After a long family debate on what to name him, Dad looked at him and said "Tucker" like the car, we all looked at eachother noddded and left the room; Tuck was named. Now he has a few nick names like Daddy Dooodle, Tuck Pup, Tucker Puppy, and Doodle Dog, but mostly he is just Doodle or Tuck.

Tuck is an active dog, he can fetch for hours! He lives for his Jolly Ball and a good game of fetch. Tuck loves to run around outside and go on long hikes through the woods. Our neighbor boy, who is 5, loves to come up after school and play fetch with Tucker for hours. Tucker is so well behaved, when he sees Nicky coming up the driveway he grabs his ball and goes to meet him. It is so cute to watch as Tucker and Nicky play; Nicky holds up his hand in the signal to sit and Tucker sits down. Nicky says stay and Tuck stays, trembling with anticipation, then as Nicky throws the ball, Tuck springs after it and brings it back to Nicky and drops the ball at his feet to do it all over again.

Inside Tucker is a perfect house dog. He lays by your feet and follows you around the house. He loves to be near you but doesn't need to be on top of you. He snores when he first falls asleep then in the morning climbs gently into bed to get his morning message.

He protects his family. If we have company over he will stay between them and us untill we say "its okay Tuck" at which he promptly runs off to get his ball so he can invite the guests to play some fetch. When we have a litter of puppies he makes sure the guests know he is there then proudly shows off his babbies.

Tucker is a great Daddy. He takes care of Bailey while she is pregnant and always sticks close to her when they are outside playing and even takes a break from the rough housing. Once the puppies arive Tucker is a great dad. He helps clean the puppies and if hears them whining for food he goes to get Bailey for them. Once the puppies are big enough to play he follows them around outside and brings them back into the yard if they venture too far into the woods. He always plays gently with them and even shares his precious Jolly Ball if they want a few fetching lessons. He is so gentle with the puppies he even lets them climb all over him.
